This year, Wine Over Water transforms Renaissance Park into a magical wonderland with enchanting atmospheric lighting and views of the historic Walnut and Market Street Bridges. The historic Walnut Street Bridge, the traditional home for Wine Over Water, is undergoing much needed restoration making this year the perfect time for a Wine Over Water renaissance.

Food tastings and pairings are part of the Wine Over Water experience. Carefully curated, the food experience is designed to highlight Chattanooga restaurants such as Whitebird and Amada. Portions are just enough to give you a yummy taste while leaving room for more wine!

Honorary Co-Chairs
We are honored to have Jennifer and Maury Nicely as our Honorary Co-Chairs for Wine Over Water and Best Cellars 2025! Jennifer and Maury are recognized for their community leadership, love for Chattanooga history, and support for good causes. “For three decades, Wine Over Water has been a highlight of autumn in Chattanooga—where friends gather by the river, sample specially selected wines, and create memories,” said Maury Nicely, Preserve Chattanooga board member and Honorary Co-Chair. Co-Chair Jennifer Nicely, added “We have enjoyed attending the event since 1997, and we are honored to be working with the staff and planning team to bring Chattanooga two unforgettable events. We are involved because we care deeply about history and historic preservation in our city.”
Preserve Chattanooga board member, Delton Chen, is leading a planning committee comprised of 18 volunteers representing organizations such as Chattanooga Tourism, the City of Chattanooga, and River City Company, along with a wealth of expertise in event planning, logistics, marketing, volunteers, and wine selection.

The Walnut Street Bridge is under renovation by the City of Chattanooga. Wine Over Water will be held at Renaissance Park, located between the Walnut Street and Market Street Bridges along the Tennessee River. The beautiful park includes a riverside promenade and outdoor sculptures.

Renaissance Park allows us to create a magical environment along the river and among the trees. The park features a defined circle which will be our main entertainment area. We are focused on wine curation, creative foods, and a broader range of entertainment.

At this time we do not offer discounts for seniors and veterans. Wine Over Water is a nonprofit fundraiser benefitting Preserve Chattanooga. Covering the expenses of the event and generating program funding is essential to our mission.

Tickets are nonrefundable but transferable. If you can't attend, you can gift or resell your tickets without changing registration. Preserve Chattanooga cannot assist with ticket resales.

Bring your Eventbrite ticket with the QR code, either printed or on your phone, and your ID. Wine Over Water is only for guests 21 and older. Event entrances will be clearly marked.

No. Guests have the option to stay at nearby hotels or use services such as Uber, Lyft, or other transportation methods to attend the event. Nonalcoholic wines are available for attendees who prefer not to consume alcohol. Tickets for children are not available for this event.
